Last year I went on a raw food preparation day with Karen Knowler and learnt a huge amount about raw foods, different preparation techniques and the amazing health improvements the diet can have. To this day I haven’t stopped learning and now feel I’ve gained enough knowledge to start making my own products to sell locally at farmers markets.
I’m going to stick with savory foods like cheeses, dips, pesto’s and dressings rather than sweet items as these are what I gravitate towards and feel the most comfortable making and enjoying. By the end of May I’ll have perfected several flavor combinations which I’ll be selling at the Pulham St Mary farmers market on May 26th and The Strawberry Fair, Cambridge on June 2nd.
As for my own personal diet I’m also making the transition to raw with a high intake of fruits and greens as well as plenty of seed based dips and snacks. As I progress I’ll post more details on my personal experiences with the diet and also update the website and recipe section with more rawness and advice….chow for now!
