Welcome to Gaia’s Kitchen!

Welcome to Gaia’s Kitchen

Gaia’s Kitchen provide dairy alternatives for anyone who omits dairy products from their diet. Our products are also suitable for vegans, we use only plant based ingredients and refrain from using artificial additives, preservatives, anti-caking agents and ingredients containing gluten. Our vegan cheese sauce mixes are packaged in high quality heat sealed  pouches allowing for a maximum shelf life. Each pouch contains four 1 cup portions, you just add a milk of your choice (we prefer either soya or almond), a little oil and whisk gently over a medium heat until thickened and glossy. Our sauces are perfect for a Mac n cheese, a topping for Lasagna or, with the addition of fresh herbs, a lovely sauce to pour over steamed vegetables and grains. Our sauces are sold via our website shop, just click on the link above if you wish to order. We also accept wholesale orders, if your interested in stocking our products please contact Phil at … [Read More...]

West Yorkshire Vegan Festival

Promotion, this is what I was reminded myself as I left the house at 4.45am and ventured into the damp night. Ahead of me, a three hour + journey from Norfolk to Dewsbury in the hope that my efforts would be rewarded. At 8am I arrived at Dewsbury … [Read More...]

Nuneaton Vegan Fair

The Nuneaton Vegan Fair was put together in just three weeks, when the doors opened over a thousand people walked in and by midday it was so rammed that you could hardly move. My hat goes off to Kevin and the Midlands Vegan Campaign for putting this … [Read More...]

Supper Club

Gaia's Supper Club started in 2012, since then we've hosted events throughout Norfolk and now cook up our delicious vegan food in the ancient town of Thetford.

If your thinking of attending one of our events why not make a weekend of it, Thetford is surrounded by the beautiful Thetford Forest and has many tourist attractions and outdoor activities. You'll also the ancient Thetford Priory, the Dads Army Museum, Ancient House Museum and the Charles Burrell Museum.

And now Norfolk is now even easier to access with the duelling of the A11! What used to be a rather slow journey is now a little quicker allowing visitors easier access and shorter journey times.

Reservations can be made via our online shop, just click on the link above and you'll find details on our next event.

About Me

Hi, I'm Phil, in 1992 I worked for a Greek restaurant on the island of Corfu. This was a restaurant the cooked for the locals, not the tourists, and was serving vegetarian cuisine with a little fish.

Wild greens were harvested from the hills, olives from below the forest, vegetables from local growers. It was a simple set-up and ignited my passion for plant based cuisine.

On my return to England I started to question my diet and in the ensuing years adopted vegetarianism then veganism.

Gaia's Kitchen started as an outlet for cooking, I gave small classes, set up suppers and took vegan food to festivals. Now, Gaia's kitchen is a small business making vegan food products and I'm a happy man still doing what I love.

Chaat Man

Do you like Indian cuisine, curry and all things spicy? Do you like small plates, finger food and unusual street food? If the answer is yes then you may want to pay our sister site a visit, we highlight the latest Indian cuisine, recipes and my new vegan Indian street food business Chaat Man.

Chaat is an umbrella term for Indian street food, think Bhels, Dosa and the Mumbai classic Vada Pav! At Chaat Man we take inspiration from the classics but enrich them further with modern twists and new flavor combinations.

Street food has always been a passion of mine as has small plates such as Tapas, Meze and Antipasti. At Chaat Man we combine choice with spice and offer something a little different to our customers.
